If you love the look of a real curtain rod or have a penchant for decorative finials then a simple tension rod probably won t work for you.

Command hooks can work too. There are several different methods for hanging your curtains without using nails or screws in your wall. To do so you ll be using a piece of cardboard with a right angle cut out and a pencil to mark the wall. The suspension will also look natural and can fit into your overall home decor with aplomb.

Draw the curtains and let them sit for 1 hour to make sure the adhesive hooks can hold the weight. Use temporary command hooks. I said it once already but it bears repeating be sure to hang your curtain rods a good 10 12 wider than the window itself. Clean gently rubbing too hard can remove the paint.
